What If? Film Club
Films That Spark Change
What If? Film Club is a place to watch thought-provoking films, enjoy good company and explore ideas together.
Every screening is an invitation to see the world a little differently, ask questions, share perspectives and imagine new possibilities—for ourselves, our community and the wider world.
We believe some of the best ideas begin with one simple question:
What if…?
What to expect
We host regular screenings at Studio Moffat throughout the year.
Each Film Club includes:
- a carefully chosen film
- a warm welcome
- tea, coffee and home baking
- time to chat afterwards if you’d like to
Some screenings also include guest speakers, workshops or opportunities to get involved in local projects inspired by the film.
Whether you come on your own or with friends, you’ll find a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The films
Our programme includes documentaries, independent films and stories that challenge assumptions, celebrate new ideas and inspire practical action.
Across the year we’ll explore themes such as:
- food and farming
- nature and climate
- community and belonging
- creativity and culture
- local economies
- sharing skills and resources
We also love recommendations, so if there’s a film you’d like to see screened, we’d love to hear from you.
Why What If? Film Club?
Film has a unique way of helping us see the world differently.
By watching together, we create space to:
- connect with other people
- explore different perspectives
- discover practical ideas
- imagine new possibilities
- leave feeling hopeful, inspired and part of something bigger
We don’t expect everyone to agree.
We simply believe good conversations are worth having.
