Upper Annandale Timebank
Swap time. Share skills. Exchange goods. Strengthen community.
The Upper Annandale Timebank is a simple way for local people to help one another using time instead of money.
You might offer practical help, creative skills, spare produce, or useful items you no longer need. You might ask for support with something that would otherwise feel expensive, difficult, or just not much fun to do on your own.
It’s about neighbours helping neighbours — in ways that work for everyone.
One hour = one credit.
Everyone’s time is valued equally.
How It Works
Join the Timebank using this simple form and we’ll set up your account and help you get started.
Add a few things you could offer, and a few things that would make life easier for you.
When you give your time, you earn credits. When you receive help — or agreed goods — you spend credits.
We’re here to support you as you find your feet with it.
What Can Be Shared?
Gardening, lifts, DIY, tech help, baking, mending, admin support, event help, companionship — as well as surplus produce, seeds, plants and other useful items.
If it’s safe and legal, it probably belongs in the Timebank.
Often the most ordinary skills — or things we don’t even think of as skills, like walking a dog or being a shopping buddy — turn out to be the most valuable.
Who Can Join?
Individuals, families, small businesses, community groups and organisations across Upper Annandale. If you live or work locally, you’re very welcome.
We also welcome applications from people outside the area who can offer — or need — virtual skills and goods.
Why It Matters
The Timebank helps us to:
- build connection
- reduce isolation
- value everyday skills
- keep resources circulating locally
- make asking for help normal
It’s a practical way of strengthening community — one small exchange at a time.
