Welcome to Moffat Seed Library
Moffat Seed Library launched in March 2023 as a way to swap, save, and share seeds across our Upper Annandale communities.
We’re here to foster sustainability, resilience, and connection through growing. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just planting your first seeds, we’re building a local, living resource — and you’re invited to be part of it.
Inspired by Lockdown
Like so many great ideas, this one grew from a challenge.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, seeds sold out almost overnight. That moment showed us how important it is for everyone to have access to seeds — even in uncertain times.
The Moffat Seed Library was born to help communities grow their own food, share knowledge, and support each other through growing.
We’re a Co-op Local Cause — and You Can Help!
We’re thrilled to share that Moffat Seed Library has been selected for the Co-op Local Community Fund this year!
If you’re a Co-op member, you can choose Moffat Seed Library as your Local Cause — and every time you shop, the Co-op donates a small amount to support our work. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and it really adds up.
