Thanks to everyone who’s been part of What If? Film Club so far — the response has shown just how many people are looking for ways to connect, reflect and play a part in shaping something better. Our screenings bring people together to explore ideas, spark conversations and imagine what’s possible when a community gathers with curiosity and purpose.

In 2026 we’re stepping things up. Instead of occasional one-off screenings, What If? Film Club will run regular film screenings at Studio Moffat.

Each event is simple, sociable and thought-provoking: a film, a space to talk and explore ideas together — and home baking to sweeten the deal.

What’s coming up

We’re shaping the 2026 programme now, exploring a mix of creative documentaries, fresh perspectives and stories that spark imagination and conversation.

You can expect themed mini-festivals, collaborations and occasional hands-on activities designed to help us explore new ways of making the world work. We’ll announce films throughout the year — and we’d love to hear your suggestions too.

Why What If? Film Club matters

What If? Film Club uses film as a starting point — a way into the bigger questions our community can explore together. It’s about creating space to:

Connect with others in an open, welcoming environment
Explore different ideas and perspectives
Imagine how our lives and communities could be shaped differently
Find inspiration for small steps, shared action and new possibilities
Get energised about the difference we can make in our own lives and in our community

Our pilots in 2025 showed the appetite is here. 2026 is about giving our shared energy and imaginations room to grow.
